FindYourOwnChild · from the Bring Leon Home campaign · Service available globally

We built this for ourselves. We are offering it to you because the existing options cost $100,000 and produce nothing.

For parents whose children have been taken to a country where ordinary legal channels do not work, we built a different methodology — quiet, technology-driven, and built by someone who lived the same situation. $1,000 per month. Cancel anytime.

Who we are

Find Your Own Child is a private intelligence and outreach service for parents in international parental abduction cases where the standard legal pathways have run out.

We were built from one family's case. In December 2023, an American six-year-old named Leon was taken to Russia after his mother's death and held there by her brother. His father, Nicholas, has spent two and a half years working every legal channel — Russian courts, the Hague Convention application route, the U.S. State Department, the FBI, members of Congress, and direct outreach to political figures. None of these channels has produced contact with Leon.

What we learned in that time — the methodology, the intelligence techniques, the secure communications, the patience — is now what we offer to other families facing the same wall.

We are not a law firm. We are not a private detective agency. We are a small team that does the work governments and lawyers cannot, in countries where ordinary legal channels do not function.

How it works

Stage 1

Qualification call

A 30-minute call to understand your case — country, legal steps taken, what is known about the household, risk profile. If we are not the right fit, we say so and refer you to organizations that may be (Reunite International, I CARE Foundation, NCMEC, others).

Stage 2

Onboarding

If we move forward, we sign mutual non-disclosure and service agreements. You get access to a password-protected case dashboard. We conduct a 90-minute intake interview covering everything you know. Your first weekly brief arrives within seven days.

Stage 3

Active intelligence

We run targeted open-source intelligence work on the people around your child — the family network, the social network, the geographic and institutional context. We do not promise outcomes; we promise diligent search. We coordinate with your existing legal counsel where relevant.

Stage 4

Weekly briefs and decisions

Every Monday you receive a written brief covering what we learned, what we tried, what we plan, and what decisions you should make. Month-to-month subscription. Most families stay engaged for six months or more.

Frequently asked questions

What countries do you work in?

We focus on cases where the Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction does not function — either because the destination country is a non-signatory, or because it is a signatory in name only. In practice this includes Russia, Iran, Saudi Arabia, much of the Middle East, parts of South and East Asia, and parts of Africa. We confirm fit during the qualification call.

Does this break any laws?

No. All search activity is on publicly available information. We respect platform Terms of Service. We never contact your child without your explicit approval. Customer attestation at intake requires you to confirm you have legal authority to search for the named person. Counsel-reviewed terms govern every engagement.

Will you contact my child directly?

Only with your explicit, per-message approval. Every outbound communication passes through a do-no-harm review before being sent. We will never reach out to a minor child without you signing off on each communication.

Do you guarantee my child will come home?

No. Anyone who promises that is selling you something that is not real. We sell the diligent work — finding the right people, building the right intelligence picture, opening the right doors — that gives a case its best chance. We have learned through our own family's case that what governments and lawyers cannot do, careful private work sometimes can. But "sometimes" is the honest word.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Your subscription is month-to-month with no minimum term. Cancel at the end of any 30-day cycle via your dashboard or by replying to any brief. No notice required, no fee. We do not pursue lapsed subscribers.

What if your team gets something wrong?

Every outbound message is reviewed by a human before sending. We do not use silent automation on case-sensitive actions. If we make a factual error in a brief, we issue a correction in the next brief and notify you immediately.

Will the work harm my existing legal case?

We operate exclusively from publicly available sources (open-source intelligence) and through legal channels. We do not hack accounts. We do not impersonate authorities. We do not pay sources for confidential information. Our work is designed to complement, not conflict with, your existing legal strategy, and we coordinate with your counsel.

What happens if my child is in physical danger?

Our qualification process screens for cases where active investigation could trigger retaliation against the child. If we determine that active intelligence work would put your child at risk, we will tell you, decline the engagement, and refer you to organizations equipped for those situations (NCMEC, embassy consular services, specialized NGOs).

How long do most families work with us?

Six months is the typical engagement, though some families have continued longer and some have resolved their situation sooner. There is no minimum term. You can cancel at the end of any 30-day cycle.

Where are you based?

Find Your Own Child is operated under Chicago Accounting Inc., a Chicago-registered Illinois corporation (registered office: 332 S Michigan Ave, Suite 121, Chicago, IL 60604). The team works remotely across multiple time zones to support cases in any country. All client data is held under U.S. data protection standards.

How do I know you are real?

Our work began with Nicholas Levenstein's case — Leon Levenstein, an American six-year-old held in Russia since December 2023. The case is public and documented at bringleonhome.org. We invite you to look at the work that case represents before deciding whether to engage us for your own.

Do you accept clients whose children are in Hague-signatory countries?

Sometimes — case by case. If the Hague mechanism is functioning and your counsel is making progress, we are usually NOT the right fit, and we will tell you. If Hague is technically available but practically not working in your case (which happens), we may still be a fit. The qualification call sorts this out.
